Lapis Earth is a 32-acre holistic retreat being developed by a group of Buddhist practitioners and founders, each bringing their own entrepreniual experience in healing, health, community, and the land.

When one of the co-founders, Nikhil Gupta approached me, the land had been acquired and planning had begun, but there was no clear way to communicate the bigger vision.

What began as a logo project quickly became something more. As we explored the philosophy behind the retreat, it became clear that Lapis Earth was built around five interconnected parts: the land, healing, products, community, and the spiritual heart of the retreat inspired by the Medicine Buddha.

Instead of designing a single logo, I created a modular identity system where Lapis Land, Lapis Health, Lapis Goods, and Lapis Sharing come together to form the complete Lapis Earth mark, while still being able to stand independently.

The position of each section reflects how the retreat itself is planned across the land, while the colours were drawn from the symbolic palette associated with Buddhist philosophy and the Medicine Buddha tradition that guides the retreat. 

The individual icons within each section can also be used separately, creating a richer visual language that can expand across the website, signage, products, and future experiences. 

The result is an identity system that gives the founders something they can start building with today, while creating a strong foundation for the retreat to grow into over time.
